    Description

    For sale is this Vintage Red Wing Pottery Pear Shaped Marmalade Jam Jelly Jar with lid and attached underplate circa 1935 to 1942 from the Gypsy Trail Hostess Ware line in the turquoise color.  By 1942 most of the fruit-shaped pieces were no longer being produced and by 1943 only the cookie jars remained in production. This lidded dish stands approximately 5 inches tall, and the leaf shaped underplate is about 6.5 inches across at widest points. The circumference of the jar opening is 2 inches across. The base is marked Red Wing USA. The condition is excellent, there are some fleabites or small chips on the inner lid rim that cannot be seen when lid is on jar, otherwise this is a lovely set, no crazing on glaze finish and no other chips, or cracks.
