    Description

    The Red Wing Stoneware Co. introduced their "Gray Line" in the 1920's... collectors refer to these items as "Spongeband". Spongeband casseroles are quite rare but even rarer with South Dakota (S. D.) advertising. NOTE: I was informed that the name Fred was misspelled as "Ferd"... was told it was very rare.I consider this item MINT, see comments above and photos. It was hard to do the photos... the ad is bold and sharp, bright blue. The casserole measures 7 3/4 inches across. 3 3/4 inches deep. Questions?
